He was a man who faced only failures in his life though he studied so hard. He was not able to memorise, and excel in intellectual academics. So his family members also were insulted in society because of his incompetence of everything. He failed in whatever he attempted to do, made faults in whatever he spoke, he himself was not able to find the answer why he should live such an unsuccessful life. So he stopped going school and started working n a grocery shop to help there and earn some money. Every day he collected useless grains and provided it to the birds in the air. Then some beggars started to approach for food seeing him as a kind person. He started to share his daily wages with them. Gradually many of his friends joined him in that venture and it became a great organization as a shelter for many.
Sometimes we find literally hard to face the sufferings in our life. We need to realise that God is preparing us through this sufferings for a greater purpose. Moses lived his life almost 120 years, 40 years in pharaoh’s palace, 40 years in desert shepherding. God was preparing Moses to lead the Israel for 40 years in the desert with his hard life situations. That’s why he could talk to God face to face and could hear his voice and could plead for the people of Israel. God always choose weak people for his purpose to accomplish in the world so that others would not be proud about. The book of life contains such names of who failed in this world. We call them saints. They intercede for other now in the heaven. We need to believe completely in God’s plan and see the sufferings are moulding us for the mission of God. “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes” (Mk 9:23).
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you (is 41:13) How beautiful is the family that recites the Rosary every evening!
