On December 3rd we celebrated the 23rd anniversary of RRC and the 17th anniversary of making the retreats and all other services conducted in RRC free of cost without any registration fees or other fees through Virunu (Banquet) fund. The celebration started with the Rosary at 9 in the morning followed by novena to Mother Mary, preaching the word of God, Eucharistic Adoration, Holy Eucharistic celebration and Sneha Virunnu (agape).
Rev. Fr Tom Uzhunnalil gave his testimony on his capture and escape from the hands of the ISIS terrorists. He thanked everyone for praying for his release and reminded the congregation that we can see the hand of God during our times of trouble and tribulation. Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore, led the Eucharistic procession and celebrated the Holy Mass. The Archbishop thanked the CST congregation for setting up RRC for the salvation and spiritual growth of the people of Karnataka. He also promised his prayers and continuous support to the Centre and all its activities.
Rev. Fr Joseph Mundolickal CST, director of RRC greeted the congregation in the public gathering arranged after the Holy Mass. Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras and Fr Celestine Chakalkunnel CST who was celebrating their 50 years of priestly ordination and Fr Tom Uzhunnalil were specially honored. Rev. Fr. Anthony Kannampalli CST, Vicar General and Rev. Fr Saji Mathew Kanayankal, Provincial Superior of Aluva Province greeted the congregation and thanked and praised for all the good spiritual work done through the Centre. Rev. Fr. Bineesh Mankunnel CST, Asst. director of RRC thanked and prayed for all the people who had worked tirelessly to make the celebration a success. Snehavirunnu (banquet) was provided for about 8000 people who attended the services.
