Due to a huge loss in business he was in debt for crores. His wife and children abandoned him leaving him in depression. He took the drastic decision to die when it became unbearable. He walked on railway track with the intention of committing suicide. On his way his eyes fell on a banner nearby. The banner read, “Bible Convention and Healing Service”. And the verse written below touched his heart, the verse was this, “And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear” (Haggai 2: 5). The verse which could turn the world upside down touched his heart as he repeated the verse several times. He sat with his eyes closed on a stone nearby. As he kept meditating on the verse he felt a power surging through him and he opened his eyes only when he heard the sound of the distant train. He felt that the train which could take his life actually leading him to a new life. He thought of how just a look from Jesus could transform Peter and he felt the same love of God transforming his life.
When our lives are plagued with constant trials and tribulations we will be pushed into a state of hopelessness and despair. When we are left with only the life having no hope, most of us tend to end the life as well. But it is then the Lord who remained silent until then speaks to us. When the worldly pleasures and possessions that we ran behind forsakes us, then the Lord leads us to a life of eternal hope. The Lord promises a life of faith and spirituality when we accept the trails of life and help us attain salvation.
“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).
