Jesus says, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how” (Mark 4:26-27) Through this verse the loving and caring God who lives with us assures us of his protection. He takes care of us even without our knowledge through people, circumstances and the ways that we are not even aware of.
The good Lord ensures that we are provided with all our needs even without our knowledge. He continues to shower his blessings every day in all the things that we do, be it at work or in our family or in our walks of life. The Psalmist reminds us, “He grants sleep to those he loves” (Psalm127:2). The Lord takes care of us and provides everything we need so that we may discern his will in our life and live as per his will on this earth.
The Lord has entrusted all of us with the responsibility that we need to fulfill in this world. Some of us may be called to lead a family life and it is our responsibility to lead it happily and some of us may be called to work for the Lord. Whatever may be our calling the Lord has entrusted us, we should fulfill the duties and responsibilities diligently. The Lord takes care of us even without our knowledge so that we may be able to carry out our responsibilities as per God’s plan.
When Moses was between the red sea and the Pharos army, he cried out to the Lord not knowing what to do. Then the Lord said, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14). When we fulfill our responsibilities as per the will of God, then Jesus will guide us and strengthen us as per these words. For such a tender and caring God who provides us with everything even without our knowledge, let our gift be a life of thanksgiving.
