He was in class X of a school which always got 100% results. Everyone was under the belief that he would score well like his 2 elder sisters before. But when the results were announced and to everyone’s shock he failed the exams. The teachers and school administrated were very disappointed and blamed him for brining disgrace to the school and all he could do was stand in silence with tears flowing down his cheeks. When he reached home his mother was at the door showering more insulting words and he had to bear the teasing of his sisters silently. He was very scared to face his father, but his father came out with a smile and took him by hand to the car and drove away. As he sat in the car he was very scared and was not sure what his father had planned for him. He stopped the car at a bakery and bought him his favorite cake and Ice cream and asked him to eat with a smile. The boy lost all his fear and ate. His father hugged him and said, ‘My son will one day be a big success.’ All he could do was hug his father with tears. He realized that his father did not scream or shout but comforted him in his loss.
We do not like to be insulted by anyone. We should be able to make the person be comfortable rather than isolate or insult. We are in an age the hands which should help in the growth of a life takes away that very life and it is very rare to find people who is able to lead another person to life. we see in the Bible a man knowing that his betrothed was pregnant but did not want her to face any isolation or insults and agreed to take the blame on him and that is St. Joseph. Jesus learned the lessons of life from that good father and that is why he was able to forgive and protect the prostitute. Let St. Joseph be an inspiration and let us emulate his ways to be a good human being and lead others to life. because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Proverbs 3:12
